Rite of passage.
school leavers project
grades 10 - 12
What is today's student's Rite of Passage?
What is the modern day rite of Passage ?
This is a great question to ask your children and students.
Is it receiving their drivers licence ?
Is it when they move out of home ?
Is it gaining employment
Is it when they lose their vir........have their first romantic experience?
Where is the line where they become adults, and are taken seriously on a professional and personal level empowering their thoughts and passions and innovations?
It comes with independence and experience.
That's what the Live 4 Adventure "Rite of Passage" Camp offers to children from around Australia. An opportunity to build independence an experience to test their "minerals" to build confidence and resilience for the big wide world outside the TOXIC comfort of there phone screens and social media.
Where is the Problem?
The current structure of society doesn't empower our school leavers to find their purpose prior to entering the workforce or university. It's great to be able to offer work experience and placments but how is the student to know what placment to request if they are unsure of their path or what they REALLY want to persue?
In May 2020, the proportion of young people who were considered NEET (not in employment, education or training) was more than twice as high for those living in the lowest socioeconomic areas as for those in the highest (18% or 96,000 compared with 8.7% or 66,000)according to the Australian Bureau of Statistics: Engagement in education or employment

Rite of Passage Expression of Interest
Presented by Brent Wells,
Co-Founder & CEO at Live 4 Adventure.
"Students are too busy living up to the fake standard that social media depicts. They're afraid to fail due to peer judgment and that prevents them from trying new things in the first place. We really want to bridge the gap in actual social connection. Building a community of future leaders that know how to exist beyond there phone screen"
